"I have known of Donna’s work for many years and when I caught her on the Midday Show for the first time, I knew I had glimpsed the future of variety.

It was one of those rare days when Geoff Harvey was unable to play. He was so crook, he was using both ends to clear the prawns.

The selection that Donna chose to air on that fateful day was the Dusty Springfield classic “How can I be sure”. Donna had that fickle Midday crowd in the palm of her hand.

These days to see her rip the shreds off the classics one after another and leaving them on the stage floor for the cleaners to sweep up at the end of the act, adds up to an explosion of variety.
